TO APPLY, PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO: rbikorea@live.com

PLEASE INCLUDE:

1) RESUME IN MS WORD FORMAT
  • Or copy and paste it in the e-mail.
  • No PDF files please.

2) SCANNED PICTURE(S)
  • In Korea, all application forms require a picture.
  • A smiling picture is recommended.
  • Conservative clothing is recommended.
  • Schools are looking for people that look friendly. If they don't like the way you look, they wil not offer
you the job.  If you can send several pictures, we will pick the best one to use on your application.

3) YOUR DATE OF BIRTH
  • Schools will want to know how old you are.
  • If you're over 40, it will be more difficult to find you a job as most schools prefer to hire a younger teacher.
That being said, every school has their own preferences so sometimes, it won't matter if you have a
teaching background and a great attitude.

4) YOUR DESIRED START DATE
  • The earliest possible date that you could fly to Korea.
  • The latest that you are willing to wait for a job to start.
  • If you give us a one or two month window, we will send you jobs that start within that time frame.

5) WHAT AGE GROUP DO YOU WANT TO TEACH OR ARE YOU OPEN TO ALL AGES?
  • The students you teach will determine your work schedule.
  • For most of the schedules, you will teach about the same (6 hours a day).

a) Kindergarten and elementary school students.
You usually start at about 10:00am and teach kindergarten for about 2-3 hours. Then, you get a lunch break
before coming back to teach elementary school kids for another 3-4 hours. Your classes are more spread out
so your day goes by at an easier pace. You are usually done at about 6:30pm.

b) Elementary and middle school students.
You usually start teaching at about 2-3pm and finish at about 9-10pm. You will usually teach back-to-back
classes (about 50 minutes each) with a 5-10 minute break in between.

c) Adults (split shift)
You usually teach for about 2-3 hours in the early morning (7am-10am) and then you teach another 3 hours
in the evening (6pm-9pm).

6) ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN A JOB
  • You only want to work in certain parts of Busan.
  • You only want schools that have other foreign teachers.
  • You want your apartment to be within walking distance to the school.
  • Let us know your preferences or what you would consider to be deal-breakers.

7) YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER AND A GOOD TIME FOR US TO CALL
  • The best times for me are Sunday-Thursday after 9:00pm EST.

AFTER I RECEIVE YOUR E-MAIL, I WILL CALL YOU TO DISCUSS THE JOBS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AS WELL AS ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.

THANK YOU,
